September 23rd - Standing Poses
September 30th - Downdog and Inversions
October 7th - Backbends
October 14th - Seated Poses and Savasana
Hands-on adjustments, like our words and our demonstrations, offer
students a different doorway into a pose and can be an effective tool
to align, support or deepen a posture. In this workshop we'll learn
guidelines that will keep our adjustments clean, safe and in service
of the student. There will be a focus on looking at bodies and
refining our assessment skills in order to ascertain potential risk
factors in a pose. We will discuss the main actions of each asana in
question so as to clarify what needs to be communicated with our
hands. Practicing on each other will offer a kinesthetic approach to
learning the adjustments. It is recommended to bring a camera to
document your experience.
CE credits available for Yoga Alliance registered teachers.

Yoga shouldn’t hurt!
