Devotion Rocks for Charity 

We are excited to bring back our monthly charitable events! All classes are by DONATION ONLY and all proceeds go to a charity.  Each month the Devotion Yoga community will pick a different organization in which we will pass along our good karma!  

September's Devo Rocks for Charity Event: 

A One-of-a-kind Candlelit Community Gathering with Yoga, Storytelling & Treats!

Join us for an intimate candlelit asana practice that will include storytelling of yogic themes and philosophy told by professional storyteller and yoga instructor, Julie Pasqual. Stay for the gathering afterwards!

One of the few things as ancient as the practice of yoga, is the art of storytelling.  Long ago, the community would gather by the fire, to listen to tales of truth, love, compassion, courage, unity and peace - in other words, stories that embody the heart centered philosphy of yoga. To help re-create that feeling of sangha (community),  professional storyteller and yoga instructor, Julie Pasqual, will perform some of the folktales and legends that encompass yogic themes, before infusing these concepts into a flowing, fun, energizing, yet centering physical asana practice.

The organization we are supporting this month is:

Storytelling Arts, a group Julie does storytelling performances for in at risk populations like prisons, shelters, and special education schools.  The mission is great, and Julie has had some amazing experiences working with them. Website is storytellingarts.net.
